School council

The school council is made up of 2 representatives from each class. They meet every half term to discuss issues and report on the ideas of their class.

So far the school council has reviewed and agreed the 'Children's Aims and Objectives' (See link below.) and carried out pupil surveys. The school council is hoping that these surveys will show them how happy and safe everyone is feeling at different times of the school day and possibly give them some action points to work on.

Every academic year the School Council focuses on three areas:

1. To fundraise for a local charity.

2. To improve an aspect of the outside environment of the school.

3. To improve an aspect of the wider curriculum for the children.

The School Council is led by a member of staff who meets with the children regularly and supports them on the areas they are focussing on.

The School Councillors inform their peers of their actions and also listen and take the feedback given to the next school council.
