After the Minister for Education's announcement, school will be closing at 3pm on Friday until further notice. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff at our school for all of their hard work and dedication especially over the last 2 weeks.
We have been asked to remain open for those children who have parents working in key worker groups, are vulnerable or who have an EHCP. We will endeavour to do this for at least the next 2 weeks dependent on staffing. We will have to ensure a first aider is on site, as well as a senior leader for safeguarding reasons.
We are currently looking at how we could possibly continue provision during the Easter Holidays and will update you as soon as we can.
We may need to ask that you provide a packed lunch for your child as we may not have the staff in our school kitchen to cater for the children. Once this is clearer we will let you know.
During this time the children will undertake small project work and not follow our current planning.
We will be contacting those parents we believe are in the categories above, today, to see if they will be sending their children to school over the next 2 weeks. If you believe that you and your child are in this category and you have not heard from us by 2.30pm today then please contact the school office.
We are in unprecedented times and I share the concerns you all have. We will endeavour to do our very best to continue to support our families for as long as we can.
We will keep you updated of any changes or new information. If we remain closed after the Easter holidays we will have new home learning packs for the children and we will let you know how to access these nearer the time.
Please look after yourselves and your loved ones and we hope to see you all soon
